ABSTRACT

Objective To develop a retrieval system about medical imaging diagnosis results in comparison with the pathological diagnosis. Methods B/S structure, Internet technologies such as Web, Node.js were used to provide local area network retrieval service so as to meet the requirements for data collection, mining, retrieval and browsing, and then other functions were realized on these grounds. Results A retrieval system was implemented with low cost, high performance, high maintainability, high expansibility and high portability. Conclusion The system provides an efficient and powerful tool for the improvement of the quality of medical imaging diagnosis. Whether for the information system of small and medium-sized hospitals or large hospitals and institutes, the model has very high application potential and value.

ABSTRACT

Objective To detect the SNR and geometric accuracy of MRI based on American College of Radiology (ACR)standards.Methods The SNR and geometric accuracy of Siemens Skyra 3.0T,Siemens Trio 3.0T and GE Excite HD 1.5T MRI were measured with ACR phantom,and the detection results were calculated according to the standards.Results The SNR values of Siemens Skyra 3.0T,Siemens Trio 3.0T and GE Excite HD 1.5T MRI were 589.98,438.50 and 277.12 respectively.Siemens Skyra 3.0T MRI had the values of geometric accuracy being-1.93% at X direction,-3.20% at Y direction and 0.68% at Z direction,Siemens Trio 3.0T MRI had the value of geometric accuracy being-0.87% at X direction,-2.33% at Y direction and 1.49% at Z direction,GE Excite HD 1.5T MRI had the values of geometric accuracy being 0.20% at X direction,-1.53% at Y direction and 1.69% at Z direction.Conclusion The detection of the SNR and geometric accuracy of MRI can effectively guarantee the image quality.

ABSTRACT

Objective To test the spatial resolution and average glandular dose (AGD) of full field digital mammography system to obtain high-resolution and contrast breast X-ray images with the lowest dose.Methods The M12 breast X-ray performance test phantom was placed on the breast support center position,then line-pair card was put on the M12 phantom and fixed groove,and exposure was carried out with auto exposure control,28 kV tube voltage and common anode filtration combination so as to detect the spatial resolution.Half-value layer (HVL) was measured by Fluke TNT12000 ray detection tools,2 mm-thickness plate and aluminum sheets with different thicknesses,and then AGD was calculated accordingly.Results The spatial resolutions were all higher than 7 lp/mm and proved to meet the quality standard,which had the vertical spatial resolution being 8 lp/mm,the maximum value of the lateral spatial resolution being 10 lp/mm and the minimum value being 8 lp/mm.AGD was lower than 2 mGy and then proved qualified which was limited within 0.60 and 0.61 mGy.Conclusion The test of spatial resolution and AGD of full digital mammography system can assess the performance and radiation dose,reflect the performance of equipment,ensure image quality and lower radiation dose.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of the chronic Keshan disease's self-management in Liangshan Prefecture of Sichuan Province. Methods According to "The Serf Management Program of Chronic Keshan Disease in Liangshen Prefecture of Sichuan Province", 56 chronic Keshan disease patients were selected in the personalized self-manngemant evaluation under the instructions by endemic disease specialists and the rural doctors. Evaluation was based on changes of indexes such as the clinical symptoms, general health conditions, the electrocardiogram, X-ray, the heart function, etc, before treatment and 3 and 6 months following the treatment. Results Clinical signs and symptoms of the patients were significantly improved 3 and 6 months after the treatment, and the improvement was more obvious 6 months than 3 months following the treatment(P<0.05 or< 0.01). After treatment for 3 months, the patients'electrocardingram and heart function did not show obvious change (X2=0.05,039, P0.05); hut obvious improvements Eexcept X ray results(X2=0.61 ,P0.05)] were seen 6 months after treatment (X2=4.36,16.84, P<0.05 or<0.01). Altogether, among the 56 patients evaluated after treatment for 6 months, none achieved the clinical cure standard, 26 cases(46.3%) showed significant improvement, 17 cases (30.4%) were stable, 5 cases (8.9%) were aggravated,one case (1.8%) lost contact, and 6 cases (10.6%) died. Conclusion The project of the chronic Keshan disease's self-management is suitable for the present situati,on of the endemic regions and can he introduced to many places in our country.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To determine whether insulin resistance (IR) was associated with essential hypertension (EH) in YI nationality living in Liangshan, Sichuang Province.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A case-control study consisting of 113 YI hypertensives as cases and 156 YI normotensives as controls were conducted to investigate the level of fasting glucose (FG) and fasting insulin (FINS), and insulin resistance index was used as the indicator of IR.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>It was found that impaired fasting glucose (IFG) and IR were associated with EH significantly among YI migrants, and OR (95% CI) were 3.98 (2.14 approximately 7.42, P < 0.001) and 2.55 (1.35 approximately 4.83, P = 0.004) respectively. Being stratified by sex, both IFG and IR were associated with EH significantly among YI male migrant, and OR were 4.31 (2.01 approximately 9.24, P < 0.001) and 3.14 (1.45 approximately 6.82, P = 0.003) respectively; but only IFG was associated with EH significantly among YI female migrant and OR was 3.46 (1.17 approximately 10.22, P = 0.022). Among YI farmers, both IFG and IR were not associated with EH significantly. The non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that IR was associated significantly with EH among YI migrants. This was not as same as observed in YI farmers.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>It is likely that IR is the risk factor of EH among YI migrants in our study. However, the association between IR and EH among YI farmers needs some further studies.</p>
